Local Leagues – October – March
- Lee County Women’s Team – on average 8 teams
- Men’s 50+ and 70+ local leagues
- Country Club Mixed-doubles leagues
USTA Leagues – Year round
Common teams are Men’s and Women’s 3.5 and 4.0 and depending on the time of the year, men’s and women’s 7.5 combo and mixed doubles 7.0.
Ultimate Tennis Flex League – Singles League Very Flexible Easy Play Format
Are you busy with work, traveling or family commitments but still want to play league tennis? Many of our members play on a Flex-League, in which you get to set your own schedule of matches, giving you the flexibility to work the league around your personal schedule.
Social Events:
Social events are scheduled on average once a month for the calendar year.
Some additional activities include trips to the Miami Open and US Open (New York) as well as supporting the Madisen’s Match Tennis Benefit Event.
Instruction:
We host regular weekly clinics for adults and junior to help players improve their skills and knowledge of singles and doubles play. Clinic are focused on a combination of technical, tactical and strategic elements of the game.
Additionally, we host weekly sessions of Cardio Tennis. Available for players of all skill levels, cardio tennis is a fun group activity that features drills and games to give players an ultimate, high-energy workout. This hour-long session guarantees improvement in endurance for players of all ages.
Our staff of USPTA and PTR tennis professionals are available for group and private lessons, and two ball machines are available for rent to help with solo practices or fitness routines. You may use your phone to control one of the machines saving you time from walking across the net to change the settings for a desired drill.
Members have the ability to schedule court reservations online 7 days in advance. We offer clinics, small group, and private instruction to players who have a desire to improve their game.
Our Tennis Shop and Lounge offers you a place to shop for all of your immediate tennis needs as well as a comfortable gathering atmosphere to enjoy the complimentary coffee or Gatorade. We offer racquet sales and stringing and other tennis equipment. We also have Master Racquet Technician Stringer on staff.
Our competitive Junior Program is amongst the strongest programs in the area, with several kids ranked in the top 100 in Florida. Our new program for development levels is strong and getting very good feedback. Our after-school program is offered weekly throughout the school year and supplemented with daily training all summer long.
Chase Price – Assistant Tennis Pro
Chase attended Bollettieri Tennis Academy where he competed in ITF tournaments around the world. He was ranked #5 in Georgia and top 20 in the South in singles and #1 in Georgia and #4 in the South in doubles. He attended John Newcombes Tennis Academy on a full scholarship playing futures and satellites. He then went on to play tennis for the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.
He teaches both doubles and the single strategy and shares his knowledge of mental conditioning with his players. With a high-performance background, he is looking forward to teaching you here at Cypress Lake.
